Frequently asked questions

What makes this Mommy and Me different?

SCV Mommy & Me class has a unique focus on maternal well-being. While bonding with your baby is at the heart of our sessions, we also prioritize your emotional health, offering support and connection with other moms.

What happens in a Mommy and Me class class?

Each week, we explore a specific topic related to motherhood. Classes include a mix of guided discussion, reflection time, bonding activities with baby, music, and play.

Who is this class for?

SCV Mommy and Me is designed for mothers with babies up to one year old.

Can another caregiver (e.g., grandparent, nanny) attend instead of a parent?

This class is specifically designed for mothers and their babies. If there’s enough interest, we may offer additional caregiver-inclusive classes in the future.

How long is each class, and how often do they meet?

Classes run for about 60 minutes depending on class size, once a week.

What if I miss a class?

We understand that things come up, especially with little ones! If you miss a session, we will provide you with that week’s discussion topic. We also encourage you to connect with other moms outside of class for support and community.

Can I come late?

Absolutely! If you feel it’s worth attending, you’re always welcome, even if you’re running late.

Can I eat or feed my baby during class?

Yes! We understand how hard it can be to find time to eat with a little one. Feel free to bring a snack, but please be mindful of messes, potential food hazards, and strong smells. You are also welcome to nurse, bottle-feed, or offer dry snacks to your baby at any time.

Do I need to bring any materials or supplies?

Just bring what you’d typically have in your diaper bag! A changing station and boppy will be available for your convenience. If you have other requests, please let us know and we can try to accommodate.

What is the cost, and are payment plans available?

The 8-week class is $280. If you need a payment plan, please reach out and I’d be happy to consult with you.

Do you offer drop-in options, or is full-session registration required?

At this time, we do not offer drop-in classes. Full-session registration is required.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

If you cancel less than two weeks before the first class, a $50 deposit will be retained.
